On March 5th, 1963, a plane fell from the sky in Tennessee and killed three country artists. The rising star, Patsy Cline, as well as Hawkshaw Hawkins and Cowboy Copas. A truly sad day for all of country music.

I’m a big fan of The Band. No, I’m a huge fan of The Band. In my opinion it’s the best band ever! Their first two records are nothing short of amazing, and no one has ever written songs better than those. Intricate, yet accessible. The songs have substance, heart, and they are catchy as hell.
September 1960 saw the birth of the very first prime time animated show on television; The Flintstones. The antics of Fred Flintstone and Barney Rubble have put a smile on people’s faces for quite a few decades now. And even though it’s been some years since I’ve watched it, I’ll still sing the theme song every now and then.
