Northern Songs Publishing was a good idea. But like business in general, things aren’t that transparent.
On February 13, Brian Epstein met with George Martin, record producer at EMI Records, to talk about The Beatles.
It’s the end of another year, and it’s been a bit more difficult to decide which was the best release, at least more difficult than last year. So I’ve basically chosen the ten albums and singles that I liked the best, but the order might be a bit random. But just a bit though.
The Beach Boys has just released their first single, and now they’re getting ready for their first professional concert at a show held in honor of Ritchie Valens.
There’s not a lot going on in the world right now that I want to write about. There’s the Vietnam war. Protests against the war. Failed space launches. I kinda want this to be a positive thing, you know?

With releases from big names such as Frank Sinatra, Chuck Berry, and Sammy Davis Jr. one would think that it would be easy to have a good time while checking out their albums. Well, the joke’s on me!
You know, we are pretty lucky. We’ve been blessed with so much great music through time. But we’re also cursed. Stuck with terrible bands that never stops. That will forever be played on the radio. And that never seems to shut up.
