The Rolling Stones has been playing gigs continuously in and around London since early 1963, at clubs and pubs mostly. But this month they are set for their first tour, a so-called package tour, which was a thing in the ‘60s.

The Rolling Stones makes their TV debut this month on the popular ‘Thank Your Lucky Stars’ show together with Helen Shapiro and some other unknown (to me) bands/artists.
The first episode of the Beatles’ very own radio show, «Pop Go The Beatles», airs this month, and the Beatles get even more exposure. At least in the UK.
On March 5th, 1963, a plane fell from the sky in Tennessee and killed three country artists. The rising star, Patsy Cline, as well as Hawkshaw Hawkins and Cowboy Copas. A truly sad day for all of country music.
